I never knew how much I could love a rat until I let them into my life.

It all started in February 2025 with Rosie. I received a message from a woman on Facebook who reached out to me, asking if I had room in my life for a recue feeder. I excitedly said yes and when I received Rosie she was in poor condition; alone and scared, her ears ripped to shreds from the other rats. I kept her on my shoulder every hour I wasn't asleep and soon discovered the very real phenomena of a "Heart Rat". To keep her from being lonely I brought new rescues into my house so she wasn't alone. This was just the beginning of my rat journey.

 

My mischief went from 1 to 4 before one of my lovely ladies came to me pregnant.  Soon 4 became 16 and I went from having a modest chinchilla cage to Two top of the line, multi-storied critter nations to separate the genders. My love for these wonderful creatures grew exponentially to where I now happily consider myself the "crazy rat" lady!

 

Rats Make for such wonderful companions and I would love for nothing more than to share this experience with anyone looking to enrich their lives with the unconditional love that a rat can bring to you.
